The Montrose Area Kiwanis Club is proud to honor Amanda Arnold and the wonderful staff at VFW Post 5642 in Montrose as Citizen of the Month. They have worked hard to make great events for children in our community. Through their efforts, families have enjoyed many fun activities throughout the year. Thanks to their creativity and kindness, children have plenty of special moments to cherish, whether it’s at Easter, Halloween, or Christmas. These events bring everyone together and make the community stronger.
One of the most exciting events is the Easter breakfast with the Easter Bunny. Children get to meet the Bunny, enjoy tasty food, and have fun with their friends. Later in the year, the Summer Fun Fair brings even more joy, filled with games, laughter, and fun prizes. During Halloween, the Trunk or Treat event lets kids safely collect candy while showing off their amazing costumes. These occasions create happy memories for families, and the hard work of Amanda Arnold and her team is what makes this all happen.
In December, the holiday season shines with breakfast featuring Mr. and Mrs. Santa. Children can share their wishes and take pictures with Santa and even the Grinch! This celebration brings out the joy and spirit of giving, creating a wonderful time for everyone. Thanks to Amanda and the VFW Post 5642 staff, our community has a place where kids can play, laugh, and enjoy special moments throughout the year. We are grateful for their dedication and the happiness they bring to our children. Thank you, everyone! ... See MoreSee Less
