Montrose Area Kiwanis Club held its 2023-2024 Officers Installation Dinner tonight. Congratulations Tony Pickett, President 2023-24, for leading Montrose Area Kiwanis Club forward into our 50th year of serving the children and our community, we are confident and excited to see what 2023-24 will bring under your leadership. Also, welcome President-Elect Gary Barnhart. Great leaders don't set out to be leaders, they set out to make a difference. It’s never about the role - always about the goal. Thank you, Jim Van Norstand, and Debbie Crisman for continuing in your perspective roles with Kiwanis. A community is usually defined as “a group of people living in the same place or having a particular characteristic in common. It doesn’t matter how different we are. What matters in building a community is the desire to live in a peaceful and caring environment, despite all our differences.
Yours is the leading and directing part of the process of making the Objects of Kiwanis Club work and making them deeply meaningful. We wish each of you a successful administrative year.
REMINDER NEXT Montrose Mobile Food Pantry distribution is Friday, October 13, 2023. To register or cancel call the Montrose Mobile Food Pantry at 570.533.3980 and leave a message, your call will be returned or confirmed within a few days prior to distribution.
Food reservations for this date will not be accepted after FRIDAY, October 6, 2023.
🎈Note 🎈We order for the number of people we have registered. If you come for one month you are automatically registered for the next month. It is imperative that people register AND CANCEL when they are not going to be there. If you do not cancel for a month and do not re-register for the next month you are not on the list for the next distribution. We know gas is expensive and we do not want to have to turn people away, so please remember to register and CANCEL if you cannot make it.
We will continue to do a drive-thru pantry at South Montrose Community Church, Route 29, South Montrose.
Pick-up is between 11:30-3:00.
